Production Operative

📍 Location: Salford
⏰ Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm / Friday 6am - 11:30am
💰 Pay: £14.88 per hour (rising to £15.40 after 12 weeks)
📄 Contract: Long-Term Temporary with Permanent Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Salford. This Production Operative role offers a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of protective covers for precision scales. These covers help protect sensitive equipment from spills, damage, and contamination while ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly and finishing of protective covers within a manufacturing / workshop environment
Using a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment, including:
Routers
Heat guns
Stanley knives
Scrapers
General hand tools
Supporting plastic welding or heat welding processes where required
Working to detailed specifications and high-quality standards
Carrying out quality checks on finished products
Following health & safety procedures at all times
Maintaining a clean and organised workstationRequirements:

Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, assembly, or workshop environment
Confident using hand tools and practical equipment
Good hand-eye coordination
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a teamDesirable Experience (Not Essential)

Experience with welding, plastic welding, or heat welding techniques
