Academics, Canterbury are delighted to be working with a highly regarded independent boarding school to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics and Business Studies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Commerce Faculty, delivering A-Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies to motivated and ambitious students. The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner, committed to high standards of teaching and learning and passionate about developing students' economic understanding, enterprise skills and financial literacy.

You will play a key role in shaping an engaging and challenging curriculum, supporting excellent academic outcomes, and contributing to wider enterprise initiatives across the school.

As part of a full boarding environment, the role also includes tutoring responsibilities, co-curricular involvement and participation in boarding life.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS and a relevant degree in Economics, Business or a related subject
  • Experience teaching A-Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies
  • A proven track record of strong student outcomes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to pastoral care and wider school life

The ability to teach an additional subject and experience with enterprise programmes would be advantageous.
