Location: Dunstable (initially) → Pulloxhill (new school site)
Salary: £19,399 - £27,447
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am-4.00pm (2.45pm finish Fridays)
Contract: Permanent (temp-to-perm considered)
Start Date: Immediate or delayed start for the right candidate
We are recruiting a Learning and Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school for children aged 5-11. The role will be based at a satellite site in Dunstable for approximately 9 months, before moving to a brand-new purpose-built school in Pulloxhill.
The Role

Support teachers with whole-class learning
*
Work 1:1 or in small groups to support behaviour and social development
*
Help create a positive, calm, and engaging classroom environment
*
Contribute your own skills and interests to enrich learning
The Ideal Candidate
*
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
*
Experience with children is desirable but not essential
*
Interest in supporting pupils with SEMH needs
*
Patient, resilient, flexible, and able to remain calm under pressure
