Sales Director/Manager - Fire & Security Services
£70,000-£80,000 + bonus | West Midlands-based with hybrid working

We're hiring a Sales Director or Sales Manager for a well-established fire and security business that has achieved significant growth and is now investing in its next phase of expansion. This role is confidential at this stage, but what we can share is this: the business is ambitious, stable, and keen to find someone who knows this industry inside out.

You'll be stepping into a key leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the commercial strategy across fire and security maintenance services — including fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire doors, fire stopping, and associated remedial works. This is an opportunity for someone with deep sector knowledge and strong leadership skills to make a tangible impact at a senior level.

What you'll be doing:

*

Leading and developing the business development function, setting a clear sales strategy and executing it across target sectors

*

Growing revenue from existing maintenance contracts, identifying upsell opportunities and managing key account relationships

*

Opening up new markets, particularly within Facilities Management, Housing, and direct end-user environments

*

Supporting, mentoring, and holding a small BDM team accountable for their performance

*

Overseeing major bids, tenders, and strategic partnerships, with the ability to personally influence key client relationships

*

Working cross-functionally with operations and compliance to ensure client expectations and margin targets are met

You'll need to bring:

*

Extensive experience in the fire and security industry, ideally within service and maintenance contracts

*

Commercial leadership experience — this could be as a Sales Director or a strong Sales Manager ready to step up

*

A solid understanding of industry regulations and standards (e.g. BS 5839, BS 5266, SFG20)

*

A track record of growing revenue and managing complex pipelines - ideally exceeding £1m annually

*

Strong people skills - comfortable leading teams, building partnerships, and representing the business at a senior level
