Science NQT - Manchester
Currently at a full-time post to start in September. You will be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 with either Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Understadning of all will also be desirable. This Ofsted good school with approximately 825 students on roll is a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified teacher with a great science department, focusing on those who have either completed a school direct or PGCE training programme.
The successfully appointed Science teacher should be experienced in teaching either Chemistry, Physics or Biology up to GCSE level and following the AQA syllabus. Therefore, prior experience of developing schemes of work or own resources is highly desirable. The school emphasises the importance of equipping the students with the experiences, values and behaviours which will enable them to take place to become active, successful and confident.
- Opportunity for a permanent contract within the school
- AQA Syllabus: Science GCSE
- State of the art facilities and teaching aids
- Pay scale will vary depending on experience: M1-M6 (approx. £25,000 - £39,761)
This school is located in the south of Manchester meaning it would be perfect for anyone living close to the Fallowfield, Wythenshawe or surrounding areas. It is very accessible to people living outside of those designated areas due to public transport lines in very close proximity, alongside the M60 just around the corner. All Science teachers available for full time, long term work from the start of September are encouraged to apply now. You will need to have QTS, experience teaching in a UK secondary school, school based references and an application for a fully enhanced DBS certificate to apply.
