Service Desk Analyst

The post will involve working within the ICT Service Desk team, providing technical support and problem resolution to the entire council and some external partners. The post will assist in providing Information and Communication Technology services to the Council, through the delivery of first-class care and resolution of client requests (Incidents and Service Requests). Champion resolution of client requests within other teams across Service Delivery, through the provision of support and assistance across the department.
1st and 2nd line support of technologies, including.
Microsoft technologies such as Windows Desktops, Active Directory and SCCM. A comprehensive knowledge of ICT hardware. The ability to support ICT applications within a business environment. Experience of managing distributed and networked server based PC systems in a mainly Microsoft environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Good time management and organisational skills. Promptly allocate incidents which cannot be resolved at 1st or 2nd line and maintain relevant records
