Finance Manager

Role Purpose

Manage the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, HMRC compliance, and financial support for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit VAT, CIS, and payroll submissions.
  • Raise and manage sales invoices; chase outstanding payments.
  • Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payment runs.
  • Maintain general ledger; complete monthly journals and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare project cost reports and track profitability.
  • Manage subcontractor verification, records, and insurance compliance.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.

Skills & Experience

  • Finance experience in construction (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, CIS, payroll, and HMRC processes.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
  • Highly organised, accurate, and commercially aware.
