Finance Manager
Role Purpose
Manage the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, HMRC compliance, and financial support for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit VAT, CIS, and payroll submissions.
- Raise and manage sales invoices; chase outstanding payments.
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payment runs.
- Maintain general ledger; complete monthly journals and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare project cost reports and track profitability.
- Manage subcontractor verification, records, and insurance compliance.
- Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
Skills & Experience
- Finance experience in construction (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of VAT, CIS, payroll, and HMRC processes.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
- Highly organised, accurate, and commercially aware.
