Here's your chance to build real systems, not just follow specs and drawings. This role is ideal for an electrical engineer, panel builder or technically-minded electrician who wants to take full ownership of bespoke builds — from interpreting the design to wiring it up and seeing it power real-world industrial processes.
The Company
You'll join a well-established but growing company that designs and builds custom, one-off control panels for the food, beverage, and materials handling sectors. These are not mass-produced boxes — every panel is different, requiring input, creativity and pride in your craft.

* Build tailored control panels and gear plates based on unique customer specs
* Use and amend electrical schematics (you'll often spot better ways of doing things)
* Get involved in testing, inspection and final commissioning
* Take panels to site for installs and commissioning
Required Experience as Electrical Engineer:
* Electrical engineering background (HNC/Degree) or strong practical experience in panel building or installation
* Confident interpreting and working from technical drawings
* 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018) qualified (or willing to get it)
* Practical, methodical and enjoys hands-on work
Desirable skills that would set you apart as Electrical Engineer
* Experience using EPLAN or similar electrical design software
* Familiarity with thermographic equipment or survey processes
* CompEx (Ex01-Ex04) certification or experience working in hazardous areas
* Ability to design Electrical layouts/schematics
* Confidence attending site for installs or commissioning
Benefits as Electrical Engineer:
* £32K-£40K basic (depending on experience) + paid overtime and expenses
* 20 days holiday + statutory (rising to 25 with service)
* Company pension + travel costs covered when off-site
* A direct, impactful role where your ideas matter and your builds are seen
