Service Engineer - Fire & Security Systems
Location: West Midlands
Contract: 3-Month Rolling Contract (Rolling)
Rate: £265 - £275 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Payment: Weekly Pay - Every Friday via Umbrella or LTD Company

We are working with a leading national facilities and fire & security solutions provider who are seeking an experienced Service Engineer for a long-term rolling contract covering a wide variety of sites in the West Midlands.

This is a field-based role focused on servicing, maintenance, and break-fix support across fire detection and security systems.

Role Responsibilities:

* Carry out routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on Gent fire alarm's CCTV, Access Control and Intruder alarms systems.

* Perform panel programming, device testing, zone configuration, and cause-and-effect verification

* Complete service and fault reports via digital job sheets

* Liaise with site teams to advise on remedial actions or system upgrades

* Work independently across a range of sites: universities, hotels, HMPS/prison sites, commercial offices

Required Skills & Experience:

* Hands-on experience with Gent fire alarm systems - ideally with a valid Gent code or demonstrable experience working on Gent-certified systems

* Competent with CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems

* Strong fault-finding skills, able to work from panel to device level

* Understanding of BS 5839 (Fire Alarms) and PD6662/EN50131 (Intruder Alarms) standards

* Security Clearance (SC) desirable - not essential, but candidates must be eligible to obtain SC

* Valid UK driving license and own tools

* ECS Card or equivalent fire/security certification advantageous
