Learning Support Assistant - LSA
Do you hold a Level 3 CACHE/NVQ certificate in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent? Are you able to work well independently and as part of a team to support primary pupils?
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a strong Learning Support Assistant / LSA in an Ofsted “Good” primary school located in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
The school is very established and currently provides excellent education across the EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Pupils require a range of support from academic to special needs. The post requires a talented Learning Support Assistant / LSA who is flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential while remaining engaged in their learning.
Applicants must possess an NVQ/CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 months experience working with children within a school setting as a Learning Support Assistant / LSA. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.
The role will include:
- Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
- 1:1 work with students who require additional support
- Leading group work as a Learning Support Assistant
- Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
