Job Title: Utility Groundworker - New Mains Installation
Location: Milton Keynes to Northampton & Bedford Corridor
Start Date: Approximately 2-3 weeks from now

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced and qualified Utility Groundworkers to support the installation of new mains system. The works will be carried out across multiple locations between Milton Keynes, Northampton, and Bedford. The role will involve excavation, safe lifting of mains, service detection, and general groundworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation of new water mains

*

Operate and work alongside excavators (up to 10 tonnes)

*

Carry out safe lifting operations using appropriate equipment

*

Detect and avoid underground utilities using CAT & Genny

*

Perform manual handling duties safely and efficiently

*

Communicate effectively with lifting teams (slinger/banksman duties)

*

Maintain site safety and adhere to company and client safety policies

*

Support reinstatement and clean-up operations as required

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

*

Valid CPCS or NPORS Excavator (up to 10T)

*

First Aid Certificate

*

Manual Handling Certificate

*

CAT & Genny Training/Certification

*

Banksman Ticket

*

Slinger Signaller Ticket

*

Previous experience in water/utilities infrastructure is highly desirable

Additional Information:

*

Must hold a full UK driving licence

*

Own transport preferred due to spread-out site locations

*

CSCS card required

*

Must be willing to travel across multiple sites in the region
