Principal Electrical Engineer - Power
Location - Midlands, Gloucester or the North West.
Salary - £45,000 - £62,000 DoE
Security - Due to the nature of this work, only sole UK nationals eligible for Security Clearance can be considered.

Copello are working with a leading Defence organisation to recruit Electrical Engineers across multiple levels, supporting critical Power programmes.

Role Responsibilities

* Design and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges

* Apply fundamental design processes, tools, and systems throughout the engineering lifecycle

* Contribute to multi-functional project teams to deliver on time and to budget

* Support project planning and manage your own workload with guidance where required

* Take an active role in both routine and high-complexity tasks

* Continuously seek improvements in processes, systems, and ways of working

Skills & Experience

* BEng (Hons) / MEng (or equivalent) with CEng (or working towards)

* Experience across the engineering lifecycle

* Knowledge of one or more of: power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, power electronics

* Strong understanding of Power System Architecture, Generation & Distribution, Protection & Coordination, or Power Earth Fault Monitoring

* Proven experience working to industry codes and standards
