An aerospace manufacturer in Denham is hiring a Masking Operative to join its finishing department. This role focuses on precision masking of intricate, safety‑critical components. Full training is provided across other finishing processes, giving long‑term progression within a stable and well‑established team. This position is ideal for someone from a manufacturing or engineering environment who enjoys detailed, hands‑on work with small, technical parts.

What you'll be doing:

Masking complex aerospace components using tapes, plugs, and bungs prior to specialist coating

Working with small, intricate parts that require excellent precision and dexterity

Unmasking completed components and carrying out visual checks for defects

Following engineering drawings and process specifications

Supporting the wider finishing team, with training available in all areas of the department

Maintaining high standards of accuracy on safety‑critical aerospace parts

What you need:

Background in manufacturing or engineering (any hands‑on production environment considered)

Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and confidence handling small or “fiddly” components

Understanding of Health & Safety procedures and quality standards

Ability to read engineering drawings (training can be provided)

GCSE grades D-G or equivalent

Experience in surface preparation or finishing is beneficial, but comprehensive training will be provided to candidates with the right manufacturing foundation

£35,500 per annum

£3,000 signing bonus (paid in first year)

Days: 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thu / 08:00-12:00 Fri
