Tech meets Turf - A unique role for a people-person who loves sport and innovation

An established UK business is looking for a confident, technically minded individual to join their team as a Product Specialist. You'll be working with innovative outdoor equipment used in the sports and grounds sector, supporting clients across the North of England and Scotland.

If you're a great communicator, enjoy being out on the road, and have an interest in tech, sport, or both-this is a great opportunity to build a career in a hands-on, people-facing role.

About the Role

This is a varied, field-based role combining on-site installations, demonstrations, product training, and client support. You'll help the customers to get the most out of the specialist equipment.

There will be regular UK travel, Monday to Friday, with some overnight stays and some European trips for training and meetings and UK trade shows.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver on-site product installations and training for customers

Offer hands-on troubleshooting and aftercare support

Build long-term relationships with clients, acting as their go-to contact

Identify and feed back on potential product or sales opportunities

Attend trade events and represent the business professionally

Support product launches, demos, and follow-up visits as needed

You'll Be a Good Fit If You Are:

Based in Northern England, Southern Scotland, Glasgow or Edinburgh

A strong communicator who builds rapport easily

Passionate about sport, outdoor environments, or technical kit

Confident using digital tools or learning new tech

Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable working away during the week

A genuine team player who thrives in a supportive, close-knit group

An interest in, or practical experience in electronics, computer science, agricultural or horticultural tech

What's in it for You

Salary circa £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience

Annual bonus scheme

Company vehicle and paid travel/accommodation

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Full product and systems training

Opportunities for progression within a stable, growing company

Sound Like You?

You don't need to tick every box. If you've got the technical curiosity, the people skills, and the motivation to get stuck in and learn-we'd love to hear from you.
