A supportive and friendly primary school in North Manchester is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's learning through small group interventions, with a particular focus on early literacy development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support class teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
* Deliver targeted phonics interventions, ideally using the Read Write Inc. scheme
* Work with small groups of children to support literacy, numeracy, and social skills
* Assist with classroom management and preparation of resources
* Monitor and record pupil progress under the direction of the class teacher
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

* A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Experience delivering phonics sessions (Read Write Inc. experience is highly desirable)
* Previous experience running or supporting small group interventions
* A proactive, flexible, and caring approach to supporting children
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
