Sales Representative / Inside And Outside Sales

Job Description


  • Ample base salary plus commission – Six figure potential at quota Uncapped Commissions
  • Full benefits package plus company car
  • This is primarily a “hunter” sales role to find new business opportunities and generate proposals. It includes both in-office prospecting and field sales calls
  • Develop relationships with general contractors, engineers, owners, developers and other end users
  • Planning and coordinating estimating functions for commercial construction projects
  • Prepare and review budget and estimate details and recognize errors; Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and bidding requirements
  • Ability to accurately estimate the cost of materials, labor and equipment; ensuring all areas of estimate and buyout are covered
  • Perform take-offs from plans and interpret specifications
  • Participate in bid strategy meetings and presentation meetings as required
  • Provide technical support and/or prepare estimates as required to assist in the "sale" of a project
  • Be accountable for the accuracy of the estimate prepared
  • Determine best product for project optimizing profit and safety
  • Obtain supplier and/or subcontractor quotations
  • Manage project to completion
  • Conduct site evaluations and field measure as needed
  • Provide customer service
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Promote service department during the sales process
  • Most important – The ability to sell and close the proposal


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relative experience
  • Excellent negotiation, organization and communication skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and work ethic
  • Experience working closely with prospective clients to understand their business objectives
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.), including utilizing customer relationship management system (CRM)
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations
  • Must be a self-starter and self-managed
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage high volume workflow
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
