Control Panel Test Engineer - St. Helens

About the Role
We are seeking a Control Panel / Equipment Test Engineer in St. Helens - testing, commissioning and supporting electrical panels for clients across energy, chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

*

Perform inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation control panels.

*

Work both in-house and on-site to deliver projects safely, on time and to specification.

*

Liaise directly with customers during commissioning and site activities.

*

Support colleagues in the assembly and wiring of control panels when required.

*

Modify and update control panels on-site, ensuring compliance and performance.

What We're Looking For

*

Qualified with City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) and City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition).

*

Experienced electrician or instrumentation technician, ideally time-served.

*

Background in industrial panel testing, commissioning and instrumentation wiring.

*

Knowledge of PLC systems, MCC control panels, schematic drawings and 3-phase electrical systems.

*

Additional skills such as small bore pipe pressure testing would be an advantage.
