Our client, a Greater Manchester Council, is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join their Locality Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Taking the lead on complex cases involving children in need, child protection, and children in care.
- Carrying out assessments and creating plans that reflect what children and families need.
- Supporting and guiding less experienced team members and helping them develop.
- Working closely with teachers, health professionals, police, and other agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Attending and sometimes chairing meetings to coordinate care and keep plans progressing.
- Writing clear, professional reports for court and other key meetings.
- Helping shape team practice, including involvement in training and service improvements.
- Keeping case records accurate, up to date, and compliant with legal and local standards.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
