Temporary Kitchen Assistant – School Environment

Monday to Friday - 10:30am – 1:30pm - up to £14.45 per hour

We are looking for a dependable Temporary Kitchen Assistant to support a busy school kitchen team. This temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, friendly environment and is available for daytime hours during the school week.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation
• Support the cook during busy service periods
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and serving areas
• Serve meals to pupils and staff
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS – essential
• Food Hygiene Certificate – essential
• Previous catering or school kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
• Positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 1:30pm
• Up to £14.45 per hour
