SEN Primary Teacher

We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join a new SEN unit within a Mainstream primary school in Eastbourne.

Job Overview SEN Primary Teacher: As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the unique needs of each child. Collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals, you will develop individual education plans (IEPs) and implement effective teaching strategies to promote progress and achievement.

Responsibilities of SEN Primary Teacher:

Working and leading a specialist SEN unit for KS2 within the mainstream Primary school.
Create and implement personalised lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
Adapt teaching materials and resources to facilitate inclusive learning experiences.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and therapists to address individual student needs.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tracking development.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in SEN education.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.Qualifications and Skills for SEN Primary Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting.
Sound knowledge of different learning difficulties and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual students.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
