Process/Senior Process Engineer - Permanent - Kent - Competitive Salary

A world-leading, pharmaceutical manufacturer is looking for an experienced Process/Senior Process Engineer to join their plant, on a permanent basis. The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to facilities, utilities and equipment used in the development and manufacture of solid dosage forms.

The role holder will apply comprehensive technical and engineering knowledge to develop equipment and process understanding, which will include validation activities. Please note, the organisation have the flexibility to bring a candidate in at Process Engineer or Senior Process Engineer level.

Other key responsibilities include:

Role holder will be a recognised SME in certain aspects of equipment or processes with a matrix management approach providing Subject Matter Expertise in multiple focus areas: Automation, Facility support, Process Development
Responsible for manufacturing equipment and process development support which may include preparation and execution of qualification and validation protocols for equipment, mechanical, computer control and utility system.
Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of process equipment and manufacturing systems.
The role will evaluate, manage and report the process capability of solid dose manufacturing equipment, developing an understanding of operating windows and the impact of process parameters on product development.
Contribute to the selection and integration of new equipment and services, ensuring technical, validation, quality requirements are in line with specification.
Support and develop equipment/services robustness and manage the risks and impact of failure.
Drive quality, safety and continuous improvement related activities. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Mechanical, Bio Engineering, Biochemical Engineer or Chemical engineering.

Applicants will also need demonstrable GMP knowledge, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience working with solid dosage forms would be a distinct advantage. You will have excellent root-cause analysis (RCA) skills and any experience working with 6 sigma would be highly advantageous. Experience with equipment validation (IQ,OQ,PQ), is a prerequisite for this position.
