Building Services Manager (M&E)

Tier 1 Main Contractor | Major Projects | £50m-£300m Schemes

Salary £50,000 -£55,000 + package

We are recruiting for an experienced Building Services Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering high-value commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.

This is a key site-based role responsible for leading the full M&E delivery process from design coordination through to commissioning and handover.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Building Services Manager / Project Director, you will:

Lead MEP coordination from Stage 3/4 design through to PC.

*

Manage Tier 2 M&E subcontractors and specialist suppliers.

*

Drive programme performance and resolve technical / coordination issues.

*

Chair M&E progress and design meetings.

*

Oversee utilities procurement and statutory approvals.

*

Implement quality processes including ITPs and hold points.

*

Lead commissioning strategy, client witness testing and handover.

*

Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations, BREEAM and employer's requirements.

*

Provide clear monthly reporting to senior leadership and clients.

Projects typically range from £50m-£300m+ and include complex, technically demanding schemes.

What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience delivering M&E packages on major projects (£30m+ build value).

*

Background with a Tier 1 or established main contractor preferred.

*

Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical distribution, BMS and life safety systems.

*

Experience managing design coordination and subcontractor performance.

*

Strong programme awareness and commercial understanding.

*

Confident communicator able to lead meetings and manage stakeholders.

Qualifications:
HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services or related discipline.
SMSTS & CSCS desirable.
