Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

Managing the commercial aspects of various civils and groundwork projects involving but not limited to earthworks, sewer installation, roads and hard landscaped finishes for developers, house builders and local authorities
Manage month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales
Identify variations communicate to clients and obtain cost approval
Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents
Produce P&L reports for all projects
Manage sub-contractors
Attending site for internal/external meetings including site measures
Working on projects ranging in value from £20k to £20m

Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

Preferred Quantity Surveying experience within the groundworks market sector, Not Mandatory
Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
Confident relationship builder
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
IT literate (Microsoft Office)
Good financial and numerical skills
High levels of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
Familiar with cost reporting & valuations
Full UK driving license
