Job Description
TRS Consulting is supporting a St. Paul company with their search for a highly qualified Production Manager. This is a hands-on role and will require active engagement on the shop floor of a manufacturing setting.

The Production Manager will be responsible for directing all assembly production activities while ensuring quality and productivity of the shop floor are maintained.


• Maintain smooth and constant product flow across all assembly lines by coordinating personnel and production jobs to meet output objectives.
• Perform first article inspections, process auditing, and quality checks. Provide training and assure adequate cross-training is maintained.
• Coordinate production activities with Sales Administration, Production Planning, and Shipping & Receiving.
• Perform trouble-shooting and root-cause analysis as required.
• Ensure all product manufactured meets quality requirements.
• Perform trained production tasks, as necessary, to maintain production flow.
• Provide training and develop/maintain an adequately cross-trained team to assure full process capability coverage at all times.
• Hire personnel as required.
• Perform performance appraisals, initiate and manage disciplinary and performance improvement actions.
• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing processes.
• Proactively seek continuous improvement opportunities and develop innovative solutions for improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering to specify, develop, test and implement new and enhanced capabilities.
• Develop, maintain and manage work instructions, quality standards, and process documents.
• Coordinate and oversee calibration and maintenance activities with Engineering and contracted services.


• B.S. In Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in SMT circuit board assembly
• Working knowledge of quality systems, quality control, process control, statistical analysis
• Ability to supervise processes
• Perform Process Planning
• Work with production Routings/Travelers and Bills of Materials
