Position: Head of PE 

Location: Enfield 

Salary: Outer London - MPS/UPS 

Start Date: November 2025/January 2026 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of PE to lead and inspire a thriving department in a forward-thinking secondary school in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to develop a high-quality PE curriculum, drive student engagement, and promote health and wellbeing across the school.

About the Role:
As Head of PE, you will:

Lead, manage, and inspire the PE department, including staff mentoring and performance management

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3-5

Develop a diverse and engaging curriculum that encourages participation and excellence

Organise extracurricular sports, competitions, and events to enhance student experience

Monitor student progress, support achievement, and promote a culture of high expectations

About You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Proven leadership experience within PE or a related role

Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching PE across multiple key stages

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Passion for inspiring students and promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing
