Credit Control Team Leader

My Client a global and world renowned company are seeking an experienced team leader that has experience of working with offshore teams and is a proactive leader that leads by example. As a credit control team leader you will be responsible for 3 direct reports as well as a mixture of large and smaller ledgers.

Main Responsibilities:

To manage the Offshore Collections team day to day ensuring deadlines and KPI's are met

Manage day to day activities, career development and target setting. Ensuring a high level of performance is maintained.

Work with Finance teams and customers ensuring claims are completed on time and accurately.

To collect all outstanding balances on customers account within agreed payment terms.

Build strong relationships internally and externally

Ensure order release is completed in timely manner

Ensure company targets are met for collections, ageing and query resolution in line with objectives.

Root cause analysis and resolution of complex or problematic items that occur on the customer account.

Collate the monthly AR forecasting process is co-ordinated and tracked accurately.

Carry out training within Collections team.

Monitor Marketing Claims and work with Budget team and Marketing team to ensure claims are processed quickly and improvements are implemented.

Completion of scheduled activities such as weekly reporting, internal audits and any ad hoc requirements relating to AR

Be involved in cross dept/ functional groups to look at process improvements and developments

Skills and attributes:

3 A Levels, 5 GSCE's (inc: Maths and English).

Minimum 5 years in an accounting /credit control team in corporate environment.

Good Excel skills and to be competent in completing Vlookups, Pivot Tables.

Team Management experience

Experience in dealing with an Offshore/ outsourced teams

Target focused, Organised and efficient worker with strong attention to detail, able to work under pressure. Good customer service skills

Experience of SAP is desirable

Multi tasker, to have been involved in both collections and query management roles, preferably with sales deductions
