Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting for a brand-new Credit Controller role with a highly innovative, global business based a stone's throw away from central Manchester. The office offers excellent transport links, close to the action, but without the stress of being right in the city centre.. plus free parking on site!!

As a Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely customer payments, managing credit risk, and supporting wider cash flow processes. This role offers exposure to a variety of stakeholders across the business and would suit someone who is proactive, analytical, and confident in building relationships with customers.

You'll be working as part of a supportive and experienced team, reporting into the Senior Credit Controller, with clear structure and guidance Ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, international environment.

Salary: £30-32K base salary

Location: Central Manchester + Hybrid options to be discussed

Main Duties:

Review and process new customer credit applications; set and monitor appropriate credit limits.
Manage your own customer ledger, maintaining regular contact to ensure prompt payments.
Block delinquent accounts and unblock eligible sales orders when appropriate.
Support weekly cash flow forecasting
Monitor and chase overdue balances by phone, email, and written communication.
Accurately allocate receipts and reconcile accounts, investigating discrepancies as needed.
Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service) to resolve invoice queries quickly.
Create manual invoices and credit notes when required, including intercompany billing.
Assist with audit preparation and ensure accurate documentation is available.
 
Person Specification:

Experience in credit control and/or collections, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
Confident, clear communicator - both verbal and written.
Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems 
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused.
A collaborative team player who's also comfortable working independently.
Professional and customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
