Transport Operative - Heathrow

Full-time | Permanent | Up to £29,000 incl. overtime
Sunday to Thursday, 15:00 - 00:00 (1-hour unpaid break)

Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for efficiency and customer service? We're looking for a Transport Operative to join a busy operation near Heathrow, helping to coordinate driver activity and ensure smooth, efficient freight movement across the UK.

What You'll Do

* Monitor and support a fleet of drivers (owned and subcontracted)

* Handle inbound calls and client bookings via phone and email

* Quote nationally on loads (from small vans to full loads) using the Haulier Exchange platform

* Plan and optimise driver routes and vehicle use

* Ensure compliance with driver hours and safety regulations

* Perform driver debriefs and support onboarding and training

* Maintain excellent customer service and provide timely updates

What You'll Need

* 3+ years' experience in logistics or warehousing

* Solid knowledge of UK geography and manual route planning

* Strong understanding of vehicle types, load capacity, and courier operations

* Experience with Haulier Exchange (preferred)

* Familiarity with EU Driver Hours Regulations and aviation security (advantageous)

* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
