Contract: Term-time (both full- and part-time opportunities)

About the School

Join a large, inclusive special school in Lichfield supporting pupils aged 11-19 who hold Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) for moderate to severe learning difficulties and disabilities. The school follow a broad, ambitious curriculum tailored to each student's cognitive and development stages focusing on academic, vocational, social, and personal skill growth.

Role Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support the delivery of adaptive, engaging lessons across the school's Explore, Extend, or Excel curriculum pathways

* Provide 1:1 or small-group support tailored to EHCP outcomes

* Help manage behaviour using positive, proactive strategies

* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic educational experience

* Assist with classroom preparation, resource management, and pupil progress monitoring

* Has a supportive, patient and enthusiastic approach

* Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Has experience (or a keen interest) in working with young people with SEN

* Is committed to inclusive education and fostering resilience and readiness for life

* Has a willingness to learn training and professional development are strongly supported
