The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, positive/team player attitude and has at least 1-3 years of healthcare billing. Including; dealing with patients, communication with insurance companies, understanding explanation of benefits and resolving aged accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Assistant Account Representative:
· Handles patient, client and payer phone calls
· Communicates with insurance companies/patients to resolve denials and aged accounts
· Writes and files appeals with payers
· Review, interpret and follow-up on all explanations of benefits
· Verify insurance benefits for all payers
· Identifies and corrects billing errors and resubmits to payers
· Verifies payments and discounts with insurance carriers
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
