The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is preparing to open its doors, and we’re looking for an exceptional Head Chef to help shape its kitchen from day one. With 55 bedrooms, 196 internal covers and 148 external covers, this is a substantial, food-led operation with serious ambition, perfectly positioned in the heart of Grasmere. As Head Chef, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing the kitchen to life, setting standards, building a passionate team, and delivering consistently high-quality dishes. In addition to leading the team, you’ll take full responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations, ensuring smooth running, managing orders with nominated suppliers, and meeting financial targets. Your ability to stay calm under pressure and efficiently achieve budgeted costs for food, wastage, and wages ensures everything runs to perfection.
