Growing organization is seeking a Workforce Planner. Provides regional leadership for contingent workforce planning, including staffing supplier management; vendor management software (VMS) and process compliance; key performance indicators and labor data analytics; and market compensation strategies to support operational objectives. Gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations with specific focus on optimizing labor supply and demand. Identifies underperforming areas in the talent supply chain and may suggest improvements or resolutions to problems. Duties: Partners with Operations and Functional business leaders and external staffing partners for assigned portfolio to develop an effective contingent labor acquisition strategy to achieve operational and customer objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert to communicate current and projected labor trends and broader industry trends that may impact labor attainment across assigned portfolio; presents key information to local, regional and senior leaders, as well as staffing suppliers and customers. Conducts market compensation studies and develops localized strategies that attract and retain an effective labor force, factoring in cost impact to the company and the customer. Analyzes and communicates key performance indicators and related labor scorecard metrics to key stakeholders and provides leadership support to ensure company performance objectives are met . Facilitates supplier business review cadence and manages related continuous improvement activities to effectively meet operational and customer objectives. Manages staffing supplier relationships to assure compliance with company policies, procedures and contractual agreements and escalates issues to senior leadership as necessary. Builds and maintains strong internal cross-functional partnerships, including with the company’s Contingent Workforce Management central function. Ensures compliance with the company’s VMS platform to maximize system functionality to increase value to internal stakeholders for labor optimization, risk management and related business decisions. Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications. This is a Permanent Opportunity! Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of contingent workforce processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient procurement of labor to support the needs of a high volume manufacturing environment. Knowledge of workforce strategies and staffing models that enable the business to meet its financial, customer and employee targets by forecasting workloads and staffing requirements. Ability to collaborate with operational and functional leaders to ensure staffing models are agile and responsive to seasonal cycles to minimize disruption. Ability to use metrics and process improvement tools to continuously optimize staffing models and forecast. Ability to work across a matrix organization and manage business relationships with staffing suppliers including leading cross-functional teams and/or projects to achieve results by influencing others. Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources (HR) function or department; ability to use and administer the organization's HR policies, strategies and environment. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting contingent workforce and/or HR practices. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The role can work in Bridgeview, or near South Suburbs location.
