About the Schools:

Our client secondary SEN schools in Medway provide specialist education for students with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, and complex learning needs. These schools offer structured, nurturing environments that prioritise both academic development and personal growth.

The Role:

As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with diverse and complex profiles. You'll work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to create an inclusive classroom where all learners are supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualised lessons suited to secondary-aged SEN learners

Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and school staff to support personalised learning plans

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed

Build strong communication with parents, carers, and external professionals

Maintain full compliance with safeguarding and SEN policies

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils with SEN (especially ASD, SEMH, and complex needs)

Sound understanding of teaching approaches and strategies for SEN students

Dedication to inclusive education and the wellbeing of every learner

Strong interpersonal, organisational, and classroom management skills

Enhanced Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Full legal right to work in the UK
