Responsibilities

As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations, including site visits and data collection.
  • Conducting soil, rock, and groundwater analysis to assess site conditions.
  • Preparing technical reports, drawings, and documentation to support project delivery.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety protocols.
  • Supporting senior engineers in project management and client communication.
Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you should possess the following:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, GIS, or geotechnical analysis tools.
  • Based within a commutable distance to York
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid driving license
Day-to-Day

Your daily activities as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer will include:

  • Conducting fieldwork and site investigations in and around York.
