We are currently recruiting a Senior Banking Analyst to working with our Finance team, based at our Head Office in Wootton, Bedfordshire, MK43 9EJ.
As a Senior Banking Analyst you will be responsible for performing a variety of banking duties and financial administration, as well as reconciling bank accounts against Copart's own internal accounting records and investigating any exceptions which arise from this.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Solely manage Ireland accounts and select high-value accounts previously handled by the supervisor, ensuring full reconciliation and SOX compliance.
- Prepare and submit weekly cashflow reports to senior leadership with supporting documentation.
- Maintain and reconcile UK and Ireland bank accounts, including Copart direct reconciliations and Yard UK accounts.
- Prepare journal entries in JD Edwards for adjustments and write-offs; ensure accurate period-end reconciliations across CAS, JD Edwards, and online banking platforms.
- Administer banking systems (Barclays.net, Precision Pay, EPDQ, Barclaycard), including user setup, credit limits, and query resolution.
- Oversee banking admin tasks such as cheque management, direct debits, stop requests, and template setups.
- Provide guidance to yards on banking queries and assist with exception handling and deposit issues.
- Support the Banking Supervisor in projects, testing, and act as point of contact during their absence.
- Assist with month-end reporting, audit preparation (including SOX), and identify opportunities for process improvement.
What we need from you:
Essential:
- Good MS Excel skills, including use of VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to format and present spreadsheets and reports to a high standard
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions
Desirable:
- Previous bank reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting system
- AAT Level 2 qualification in accounting
