About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing team in Strood. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective running of production operations within a fresh produce / food manufacturing environment. You'll lead a team of production operatives, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and help drive continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.

* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives.

* Ensure all operations comply with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.

* Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as required to meet demand.

* Liaise with the Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to maintain smooth operations.

* Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.

* Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability requirements are met.

* Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader within food manufacturing, ideally fresh produce.

* Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

* Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvement.

* Flexibility to work shifts as required to support production demands.
