Our Client is looking for a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician with qualified MOT Tester status (Class 4 / 7)

Day to day, you will:

Carry out routine maintenance and servicing checks and repairs in line with the requirements of the manufacturer.
Run fault diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, air conditioning, security features, fuel systems etc.
Carry out repair / service operations to engine units, drive trains, suspension components, brakes, air conditioning systems, electrical, emissions systems and all interior trim components etc.
Carry out electronic vehicle health checks.
Communicate directly with customers to identify / understand concerns with vehicle running performance and to advise about technical issues.
Road test vehicles on completion of repair / service work, also accompanying customers for demonstration of vehicle concerns or faults.
If qualified - carry out MOT testing, confidently communicating areas of concern.
Receive ongoing manufacturer training, both in-house and external training centres.
Comply with company and manufacturer disciplines and procedures.
Support others around the business by performing to the best of your ability.

The ideal candidate:

Is a qualified MOT Tester (Class 4 / 7) - (desirable, but not essential - training is available. Requires 4+ years' experience).
Is positive, punctual, hardworking, flexible and driven.
Possesses technical knowledge of a range of vehicle makes and models.
Is literate and numerate, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues alike.
Can follow instructions and work alone without supervision.
Demonstrates a strong customer focus and takes pride in delivering a high-quality experience that is second-to-none.
Is well-presented and able to engage and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Will be honest with high levels of integrity.
Can work quickly, while maintaining quality assurance in order to maximise workshop capacity.
Thrives and remains calm under pressure, whilst meeting deadlines.
Key requirements:

Qualified Vehicle Technician - NVQ Level 3, or equivalent (essential), with 4+ years' experience and;
Qualified MOT Tester (class 4 / 7) - Level 2 (desirable, but not essential).
Suitable level of manual dexterity and fitness.
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
A desire to provide exceptional customer experiences.
Computer literate and can easily learn new systems.
Working pattern:

Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Every other Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm
