About the Role of Project Manager

The current role requires a Project Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a package of works in the Essecx Area. You will be accountable for managing project scope, time lines, costs, and resources, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead a team of engineers and support staff, while liaising with senior stakeholders and clients to ensure project success.

Responsibilities for Project Manager

Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of highway and infrastructure projects
Managing multi-disciplinary site teams, including engineers and subcontractors
Working closely with stakeholders, clients, and local authorities
Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and company policies
Overseeing financial control, reporting, and budget management
Monitoring programme performance, quality, health and safety
Coordinating technical documentation and contract administration
Supporting and mentoring engineering staff
Managing procurement, supply chain, and material logistics
Delivering projects to agreed deadlines, budget, and specificationsRequirements for Project Manager

Substantial experience managing highways or infrastructure projects
HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Proven leadership experience overseeing site teams
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
A Full UK Driving License
Sound knowledge of CDM, H&S, and quality assurance processes
