We are recruiting on behalf of a leading M&E contractor specialising in office fit-out and data centre projects across London. Due to continued growth and success, our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company on challenging and rewarding projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the mechanical aspects of office fit-out and data centre projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's specifications.
• Collaborate closely with the client, contractors, and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Work with the design team to review project specifications and address any technical challenges that arise during design and construction.
• Ensure all work is compliant with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including schedules, reports, and project plans.
• Manage project budgets, procure materials, and control costs to ensure the project remains within financial parameters.
• Lead the commissioning process for mechanical systems, ensuring they are fully operational before handover to the client.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and project teams.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, with a strong background in office fit-out and/or data centre projects.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and M&E services relevant to office and data centre environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong experience in managing project budgets, procurement processes, and contracts.
• Effective leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (Degree or HNC/HND preferred).
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS card are desirable.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ideally based locally to London or able to commute to the city when needed.
