About the company & role

The company designs, supplies, installs, tests, and maintains standby power systems and energy solutions that help keep critical infrastructure running. With three facilities and a large team of remote engineers/workers, they support an extensive client base across the UK & Ireland.

As Sales Manager, you will lead the data centre sales strategy, drive new business, manage key client relationships, and ensure the growth and profitability of this important business segment.

Package

* £65,000 - £75,000

* Home based role with travel required throughout the UK for meetings/client visits.

* Vehicle/car allowance

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

* Meet and exceed sales targets for data centre solutions.

* Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire clients in target markets.

* Manage and grow relationships with key clients, including regular meetings, business reviews, and post‑sales support.

* Work closely with technical and operations teams to align on client needs and ensure successful project delivery.

* Develop and execute sales strategies, including prospecting, cold‑calling, client meetings, and negotiation.

* Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting to senior leadership.

* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create and implement effective sales campaigns and promotions.

* Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand the company's network and visibility in the data centre space.

Requirements

* 5+ years' experience in a sales management or business development role within the data centre industry.

* Solid background selling data centre hardware and related technology infrastructure.

* Proven track record of driving sales growth, building relationships, and managing key accounts.

* Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

* Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
