A prestigious, top 60 firm are seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Audit team in Cambridge. This role is suitable for professionals who are recently qualified looking to complete their professional training in a supportive practice environment.

This role provides exposure to a broad range of industries and audit assignments and study support is available where applicable.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead smaller audit assignments and support larger engagements within the team.
• Prepare financial statements under UK GAAP for a variety of business types.
• Assist with corporation tax matters and related client support.
• Participate in audit planning and contribute to the delivery of high-quality assurance services.

Personal Requirements

• Strong experience in audit within a UK practice, including front-line client interaction.
• ICAEW/ACCA qualified, qualified by experience or near completion of professional studies.
• Familiarity with corporation tax is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with accounts preparation under UK GAAP.
• Knowledge of CCH accounts software or similar packages is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-motivated, flexible and willing to travel as required.
