TeacherActive are proud to be partnering with a range of Secondary Schools across Maidstone and the wider Kent area. We are actively recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to provide consistent support to our network of schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher. While planning and marking are not required, you will deliver pre-set work, maintain classroom expectations, and support students in staying engaged and on task.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences

Delivering pre-prepared lesson content and ensuring learning objectives are met

Managing student behaviour in line with school policies

Providing guidance and support to students during class tasks

Ensuring a safe, calm and positive learning environment

Recording and reporting any behavioural or progress concerns to teaching staff

Adapting to different subjects, departments and year groups as required

The ideal Cover Supervisor will:

Hold CACHE Level 2/3 OR have at least 6 months classroom experience

Be confident managing a classroom of students aged 11-16+

Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills

Be flexible, proactive and comfortable working across various school settings
