An exciting opportunity to work as a Goods Out Supervisor for our client, a manufacturer of sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

Staffline is recruiting for Goods Out Supervisors on Day shift and Night shift in Avonmouth.

The rate of pay is £14.26 per hour.

This is a full time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are:

- AM, 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm
- Nights Sunday to Thursday 8pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

As a Goods Out Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient picking, packing, and shipping of goods while supervising and motivating a team to ensure quality, safety, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the process. Other duties include:

- Act as a role model and ambassador towards our Company values
- Picking, packing and shipping of all goods in accordance with company procedure
- Liaising with the transport department to ensure the safe loading of all goods onto vehicles
- Responsible for maintaining enough stock levels of all packaging and packing equipment
- Move and rearrange stock, either by hand or with heavy lifting equipment
- Supervising your team to constantly drive for improvement across all aspects, listening to and evaluating suggestions from staff to give constructive feedback and proposed feedback
- Always seek to minimise waste & maximise outputs whilst achieving the best quality possible
- Ensure that goods do not get damaged while processing their dispatch
- Work with the wider business to ensure that all daily tasks are completed
- Work effectively and cooperatively as a Line leader, ensure effective communication with the team
- Respect and value other members of staff to create a positive working environment

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker would have the following skills:

- A good level of English and maths will be required for the completion of paperwork
- Basic computer skills including Word & basic spreadsheets
- A credible personality to lead and inspire others to achieve continual improvement
- The ability to lead a large team of staff confidently and consistently
- High personal standards and good personal hygiene standards
- Good team worker with a positive outlook
- Self-motivated, Committed, disciplined & able to work under pressure
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Award
- IOSH Managing Safely or Level 3 Health and Safety (not essential)
- Previous experience in a supervisory FMCG (Fast-moving consumer goods) role would be beneficial but not essential

Experience in a similar role is required.
