Role Summary

A specialist fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Passive Fire Estimator to support tendering, pricing, and commercial delivery across a range of UK projects. The role involves producing accurate estimates for fire‑stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and associated passive fire works.

Key Responsibilities of an Estimator

* Complete detailed take‑offs from drawings, specifications, and survey reports

* Prepare BOQs, cost plans, and tender submissions

* Liaise with clients, surveyors, and site teams to clarify scope

* Source material and labour rates, ensuring competitive and compliant pricing

* Support the commercial team with variations and project handovers

* Ensure all estimates align with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer guidance

Experience Required for an Estimstor

* Proven experience estimating within passive fire, fire‑stopping, fire doors, or specialist subcontracting

* Strong understanding of fire protection systems and installation methods

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Confident producing take‑offs and tender documentation

* Good commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Proficient with Excel and estimating software
