Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive

Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Experience: Ideally 5+ PQE (all levels considered)
Full Remuneration Package: £60,000 - £90,000 DOE
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

You will manage your own caseload across a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Drafting wills, LPAs and associated estate planning documents

• Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and asset protection

• Managing estate administration from initial instruction through to final distribution

• Supporting executors and beneficiaries throughout the probate process

• Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate or Letters of Administration

• Liaising with HMRC, financial institutions and other professional advisers

The Candidate

The firm is seeking an individual who is technically strong, client-focused and comfortable managing a varied workload.

You will ideally have:

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive

• Experience managing wills and probate matters independently

• Excellent communication and client care skills

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• The ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively

Desirable experience includes:

• STEP qualification (or working towards it)

• Experience with trusts and tax-efficient estate planning

• Familiarity with digital probate systems or case management software
