This is a globally recognised legal and professional services firm based in the City of London. They have an extensive network of expertise and professionals covering a broad range of client services for numerous industries.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a high-calibre Financial Controller to join their finance department.

Role

The Financial Controller will support the CFO and work closely with the FP&A function in the day-to-day running of the finance department. They will manage and lead the team whilst taking ownership of month-end/year-end processes, reporting and analysis. This position will take on a number of key duties including:

• Oversee the production of accurate financial information in accordance with UK GAAP and external regulations.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and regular reviews.
• Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring that postings are finalised in line with close timetable.
• Ensure robust financial policies & controls are maintained and communicated efficiently.
• Lead the review of weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Be the primary contact for external audit work (year-end processes etc.)
• Manage day-to-day relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Support the CFO with Partnership related queries/matters and provision of information for external tax.
• Continuously support in improving processes and use of internal Dynamics 365 Business Central system.
• Work closely with the FP&A Manager and provide input for budgeting & forecasting.
• Work closely with other departmental heads throughout the business providing information efficiently.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Financial Controller position should have the following attributes:

• ACA qualified (or equivalent, ACCA/CIMA) with 4+ years of post qualification experience
• Experience working in professional services within a similar financial control capacity
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong academic background
• Confidence using Excel and associated formulas
• Excellent attention to detail
• Desirable: Partnerships experience, use of Dynamics 365 Business Central

Salary / Package

£80,000 - £90,000 + additional benefits including:

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
