EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 Start Date: September 2025Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (8:30am - 4pm)

Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking for a full-time position? A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Mansfield (NG18) is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team. This is a long-term role supporting both classroom teaching and individual learners in a reception class.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning
• Work with small groups and 1:1 to support early reading, phonics, and number work
• Help children develop social skills, independence, and confidence
• Assist with observations and assessments in line with the EYFS framework
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support outdoor learning and structured routines (e.g. snack time, circle time)

What We're Looking For

• Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Supporting Teaching & Learning)
• Experience working with children aged 3-5 in a nursery or school setting
• Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development
• Patient, nurturing approach with a passion for early years education
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
