Nursery Third in Charge – Level 3 Qualified

Are you a Senior Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader ready to take the next step in your early years career? Our client is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Third in Charge to support the Nursery Manager and Deputy in delivering outstanding care, leadership, and learning across their setting.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent) – essential
• Experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar senior role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Confident in supporting staff, managing routines, and leading by example
• Passionate about providing high-quality childcare and supporting children’s development
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a positive, proactive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
• Take responsibility for the setting in the absence of senior managers
• Lead and support your room team in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
• Help coach and mentor team members, offering guidance and performance support
• Maintain accurate EYFS observations, assessments, and records
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
