Job Overview

Delighted to partner with this leading business who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor for their Distribution and Transport business in Greater Belfast, working closely with the Head of HSEQ and supporting the wider Island of Ireland EHS team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Senior Management and Functions Heads to deliver Departmental Health and Safety Action Plans and assist in the development of health and safety management systems in accordance with the organisation plans and compliance with and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies' processes and procedures and applicable ISO Standards.
Undertake incident investigations, audits and inspections and support with drafting and reviewing of related H&SE documentation and procedures.
Providing technical assistance relating to process safety to Function Heads and Managers, to ensure that workplaces are fully compliant with legislation
Support with undertaking and the review of risk assessments, including COSHH/Chemical Agents
Ensure H&S training as relevant to functions has been completed and training records available.
Support on the delivery of Safety behavioural programs.
Develop and support the implementation of safety manuals, procedures, plans, checklists and other related safety documentation
Undertake administration and investigation of related incidents/ accidents/events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions and prepare the required reports.
Experience and qualifications:

Circa 5 years' experience, ideally in a similar sector
Should be familiar with ISO Certifications and successful attainment of same.
Ability to analyse and present HSE data
Develop and deliver HSE workshops
Strong focus on building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Have the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization & other third parties.
Hold a full clean driving license, and be willing to travel to work locations throughout Ireland.
