Are you looking to gain hands-on experience supporting young people with complex needs and challenging behaviour?

A specialist SEN setting in Stroud is seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to support students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex additonal needs. This role is a hands on and rewarding role, ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in a therapeutic, relationship-focused envrionment.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Complex
  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques
  • Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour and engagement with learning
  • Build strong relationships with vulnerable learners
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams in a specialist setting

Ideal Candidate (beneficial but not essential):

  • Psychology Graduate or related degrees
  • Youth Worke / support work / care background
  • Passionate about SEN and mental health
  • Experience in PRUs, alternative provision, or specialist setting
  • Team Teach / MAPA / CPI training
  • Resilient, dedicated and confident
  • Strong behaviour management skills

This role is best suited to individuals with prior experience or a strong understanding of supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
